Anantakiranam
Non-Government Organisation, which focuses on Child Education and Tree plantation
Anantakiranam is a professionally governed and managed Indian non profit organisation, registered in Anantapur on 05.01.2008, dedicated to rural development in India. We are a group of childhood friends, dedicated to improving the lives of children and the environment in rural areas. We believe that every child deserves access to a quality education, regardless of their socioeconomic background. Our organization is focused on providing basic education and support to children who may not have the opportunity to attend school due to financial constraints.
In addition to our education efforts, we also recognize the importance of planting trees in rural areas. Trees play a vital role in improving the environment and the livelihoods of local communities. We work to plant trees in rural areas to improve the soil quality, prevent erosion, increase water retention, and provide a source of food, shelter, and medicine for both people and wildlife.
Our mission is to empower the rural communities through education and environmental conservation. We believe that by working together, we can make a positive impact on the lives of children and the environment in rural areas.
Here is an overview on both of our programmes:
Vidya:
Education is a powerful tool that cannot be taken away from anyone. It includes basic education, arts and other subjects. Unfortunately, not everyone has access to education. By providing basic education to children, we can change the lives of their entire families. We strive to offer financial and moral support to children so that they can attend school without worrying about costs. This helps to increase their motivation to learn and succeed. Additionally, we also provide assistance to families who are unable to afford the cost of basic education for their children.

Vanam:
Planting trees in rural areas is crucial for many reasons. Trees provide a source of food, shelter, and medicine for both people and wildlife. They also help to improve the soil quality, prevent erosion, and increase water retention in the area. Furthermore, trees act as carbon sinks, absorbing carbon dioxide and reducing the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Planting trees also has a positive impact on the local economy by providing materials for construction and fuel. Additionally, tree planting helps to improve the aesthetic appeal of the area and can serve as a source of recreation and tourism. Overall, the planting of trees in rural areas is essential for improving the environment, economy and overall quality of life of the rural communities.
